Two Decades at the Front Lines of Retail Metals
Carl began his career in the precious metals industry in 2002 as an account executive in Los Angeles, California. Over the next two decades, he worked directly with retail investors to help them safeguard their wealth through physical gold and silver.
As a retail metals specialist, Carl earned a reputation not just for performance but for client education, a distinction that ultimately shaped his thinking about where the industry fell short.

VaultRunner
Then and Now
Carl first launched VaultRunner as an early effort to connect the growing cryptocurrency economy with the physical precious metals market, allowing retail investors to purchase gold and silver using digital currencies. The platform was ahead of its time. Cryptocurrency was still in its early stages, conversion infrastructure was limited, and the market wasn't yet prepared for what VaultRunner offered.
He set the idea aside, though he never abandoned it.
Carl re-established VaultRunner LLC as a Wyoming limited liability company with an entirely new architecture. The platform is a peer-to-peer marketplace connecting buyers and sellers of physical precious metals stored in COMEX-approved third-party depositories, with all transactions facilitated through licensed escrow.
VaultRunner never takes custody of metals or funds, a structural choice that protects buyers, safeguards sellers, and removes the dealer markup that has defined the industry for generations.
Philosophy
VaultRunner was founded on the simple belief that buyers and sellers of physical precious metals deserve a marketplace where prices are discovered openly, transactions adhere to an independent standard, and no single party profits from acting as an intermediary.
